SRH vs RCB: Live Blog | Live Scorecard

5 overs: RCB 48/0

16 RUNS! Another big over for RCB. Padikkal (34*) hit a four off Marsh, before the pacer had to walk off, then Finch smacked a maximum off a free-hit ball bowled by Shankar. RCB march on!

4.5 overs: SIX! Finch (9*) opens his boundary count with a big six off Vijay Shankar. It was a free-hit for a front foot no-ball. RCB 46/0

BAD NEWS for SRH: Marsh, who was limping in the middle, walked off the field after bowling just 4 deliveries. Fabian Allen comes on as sub.

Bowling change from both ends: Mitchell Marsh comes into the attack

4 overs: RCB 32/0

12 RUNS! Padikkal (29* off 19 balls) making his IPL debut a memorable one here in Dubai. The left hander smacked three fours off Natarajan in the over, including two back-to-back hits to the fence. Padikkal pulled the second ball wide of deep square leg, then followed that up with a drive towards deep cover boundary. And he added one more, pulling one over the mid-wicket fielder. What a start!

Bowling change: T Natarajan comes into the attack

3 overs: RCB 20/0

Bhuvneshwar Kumar kept one end tidy, but the pacer too failed to stop young Padikkal from hitting a four in it. The left hander slapped one wide of the cover fielder. Bhuvi though gave away just 7 runs in it.

2 overs: RCB 13/0

11 RUNS! Big over for RCB. Padikkal (12*) opened his arms in the over as he hit pacer Sandeep Sharma for two fours in it – one a pull over wide mid-on and another a flick towards fine leg boundary. Good, confident start from the youngster.

1.1 overs: FOUR! Devdutt Padikkal, 5*, opens his boundary count with a four off Sandeep Sharma. His first in IPL. RCB 6/0

1 over: RCB 2/0

Tidy start from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, just two runs off the first over. One wide and one by young Padikkal.

TOSS NEWS | SRH skipper David Warner wins toss, opts to bowl against RCB

What captains said after the toss:

Virat Kohli: “We have made a few changes, to the setup and the team as well. We feel relaxed and balanced. One idea was to create more leaders in the time. The guys have worked really hard during the lockdown period in whatever way they could. They have taken a lot of responsibility in these three weeks as well. Lot of batting happened in the last three wickets.”

David Warner: “We will bowl. There is a bit of dew around. It was an interesting game last night. We know it’s going to get a bit tired towards the end. We have the balance in the side.”
