Mumbai: Politicians across the party lines wished Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai after he tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday.
Taking to twitter, senior Bachchan informed that he has tested positive for coronavirus and requested whoever was in close proximity to the actor in the last 10 days to get themselves tested for Covid-19.
“I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested ! (sic)” the actor said in a tweet.
Maharastra Cabinet Minister Aslam Shaikh informed that the actor’s health is stable a team of doctors is taking good care of senior Bachchan. “Sent a team to their house Jalsa to test Jaya Bachchan and Aaradhya,” he said.
He further said Amitabh was asymptomatic, while junior Bachchan developed mild symptoms.
Meanwhile, the reports are suggesting that his son Abhishek Bachchan has also tested positive for the virus.
“Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you, (sci),” junior Bachchan tweeted.
BJP leader and former Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said wished the superstar a speedy recovery. “We all wish and pray for your speedy recovery! Get well soon @SrBachchan ji! (sic),” he tweeted.
Wishing him a speedy recovery, BJP leader and former Union Minister Suresh Prabhu said the Amitabh Bachchan will be back in action soon as the superstar has valiantly fought many battles and have emerged victorious.
“Wishing you a speedy recovery @SrBachchan Just heard about the news of infection You have valiantly fought many battles and have emerged victorious I am sure the same will be the outcome of the current illness Please be back soon in action, stronger, healthier, happier Best wishes, (sic)” he tweeted.
Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan also joined in expressing best wishes for senior Bachchan a speedy recovery on Twiter. “Dear Amitabh ji, I join the whole Nation in wishing you a quick recovery! After all, you are the idol of millions in this country, an iconic superstar! We will all take good care of you. Best wishes for a speedy recovery! (sic),” he tweeted.
Bachchan was recently seen in Shoojit Sircar’s “Gulabo Sitabo”, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana, which was released digitally.
His upcoming films are “Chehre”, “Jhund” and “Brahmastra”. He is also scheduled to host season 12 of the popular quiz show, “Kaun Banega Crorepati”.
