National Testing Agency, NTA has cleared the air covering NEET Exam 2020 postponement on Tuesday. The Agency has released an official notice in which it has clarified that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, UG exam would be conducted on September 13, as per schedule. The NEET Admit Card 2020 would be released shortly on the official site of NTA NEET on ntaneet.nic.in.

The Agency in the official notice has mentioned that 99 percent of candidates will get their first choice of center cities in the exam. A total of 15.97 lakh candidates have registered for the examination this year. NEET 2020 exam centers has been increased from 2546 to 3843 to maintain safety protocols. Students can check out the safety precautions Agency will take to conduct the exam this year amid the pandemic.

NEET 2020: Safety precautions to be taken

  1. The number of examination centers has been increased by the National Testing Agency in order to meet the social distancing requirements.
  2. In order to ensure proper social distancing inside the examination halls, the number of candidates per room has been reduced from earlier 24 to 12, now.
  3. For ensuring social distancing outside the examination hall, the entry and exit of candidates have been staggered. Adequate arrangements have also been made outside the examination centers to enable candidates to stand with adequate social distancing while waiting.
  4. Proper guidelines for social distancing have been issued by the Agency to the candidates who will appear for the exam.
  5. NTA has asked for support from state governments in the local movement of the candidates so that they are able to reach their examination centers on time.

NEET 2020 examination will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm in a single slot and is a pen and paper mode exam. The exam will have subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology), and will comprise of 180 questions. NEET exam will be conducted in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) mode.
