The Indian equity markets were trading flat with a negative bias in Wednesday’s volatile session.

The S&P BSE Sensex was down 50 points at 36,630 levels and the Nifty50 index slipped below the 10,830-mark. IndusInd Bank (up 5%) gained the most among Sensex constituents, followed by Bajaj Auto and Mahindra & Mahindra (both up 1%). As per media reports, US-based hedge fund Route One Investment Company is in talks to increase its stake in IndusInd Bank. Titan Company rose a little over 1 per cent after giving business update for the June quarter of FY21.

The Nifty sectoral indices were largely in the green, led by Nifty PSU Bank index, up 1.5 per cent.
