JEE Main Result 2020 Live Updates: National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to declare JEE Main result 2020 soon on the official website. Over 6.35 lakh candidates will get their JEE Main 2020 result at jeemain.nic.in (or jeemain.nta.nic.in).

JEE Main Result 2020 Live Updates: NTA Likely To Declare JEE Mains Result Today

JEE Main Result 2020 Latest Updates: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main was held from September 1 to 6 and the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts it, is likely to declare the result today, in just five days. The link to download JEE Main result 2020 will be updated soon on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main 2020 is a national-level entrance test for admission to undergraduate engineering, architecture and planning programmes in over a 100 participating institutions. JEE Main result date was mentioned on the JEE Advanced website as well as the tentative counselling schedule released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

The first round of JEE Main 2020 was conducted in January and according to official information, over 10 lakh wrote that exam. The second JEE Main 2020 was scheduled for April but was postponed multiple times due to the COVID-19 outbreak. According to data shared by the NTA, over 8.58 lakh candidates had registered for the September exams but under 75% – around 6.35 lakh – finally appeared.

After the declaration of JEE Main result 2020, candidates who qualify will be eligible to apply for JoSSA counselling for admission to IIITs, NITs and GFTIs. The top 2.5 lakh candidates will be eligible to write the admission test for the 23 IITs — JEE Advanced 2020. The eligibility criteria for both groups of students have been relaxed.

The NTA is expected to declare the JEE Main 2020 results today, September 11, at jeemain.nta.nic.in. According to official information, around 6.35 lakh students wrote JEE Main 2020, for admission to undergraduate courses in engineering and architecture.

NTA JEE Main Result 2020: States and institutions

JEE Mains Result 2020 and COVID-19

The second session of JEE Main was originally scheduled for April but was postponed multiple times due to COVId-19. Each time after rescheduling, NTA reopened the “correction window” for applications, allowing registered candidates to change their choice of exam centre city. JEE Main 2020: January And September Rounds

JEE Main is conducted twice in a year.  Thanks to COVID-19, the September round was very different from the first one in January. The NTA increased the number of exam centres from 570 in January to 660 in September to allow for social distancing between candidates. However, the number of examinees was 10,66,450 (over 10.66 lakh) in January, compared to the 6.35 lakh who ultimately wrote the exam in September.
